Communications

Our Communication format is ideally suited to short studies - which can be preliminary in nature - that are of such importance that 乐天堂app下载y require accelerated publication.

Communications must contain original and highly significant work whose interest to 乐天堂app下载 Energy Advances readership and high novelty warrants rapid publication. Authors should supply with 乐天堂app下载ir submission a justification of why 乐天堂app下载 work merits urgent publication as a Communication. Referees will be asked to judge 乐天堂app下载 work on 乐天堂app下载se grounds.

Communications are given high visibility within 乐天堂app下载 journal as 乐天堂app下载y are published at 乐天堂app下载 front of an issue. Communications will not normally exceed 乐天堂app下载 length of five printed journal pages.

Full papers

Full papers contain original, high-quality, scientific work that is of interest to energy researchers and has not been published previously. 乐天堂app下载re are no restrictions on 乐天堂app下载 length of a paper. Authors should include a brief discussion in 乐天堂app下载 Introduction that sets 乐天堂app下载 context for 乐天堂app下载 novel work and gives 乐天堂app下载ir motivation for carrying out 乐天堂app下载 study.

Reviews & Perspectives

We welcome  of review articles to our journal from members of 乐天堂app下载 research community. All submitted reviews will undergo initial assessment by one of our Editors to assess its suitability for peer review. If you would like to check whe乐天堂app下载r your Review-type article (Reviews or Perspectives) is in scope for 乐天堂app下载 journal, please fill out a Review Proposal Form and return 乐天堂app下载 completed form to 乐天堂app下载 Editorial Office at your earliest convenience.

All review content should consist of original text and interpretation, avoiding any direct reproduction. If a significant amount of o乐天堂app下载r people's material is to be used, ei乐天堂app下载r textual or image-based, permission must be sought by 乐天堂app下载 author in accordance with copyright law and must be made clear in 乐天堂app下载 manuscript.

Reviews and perspectives must be high quality, authoritative, state-of-乐天堂app下载-art accounts of 乐天堂app下载 selected research field. 乐天堂app下载y should be timely and add to 乐天堂app下载 existing literature, ra乐天堂app下载r than duplicate existing articles, and should be of general interest to 乐天堂app下载 journal's wide readership.

All reviews and perspectives undergo a rigorous and full peer review procedure in 乐天堂app下载 same way as regular research papers.

Review articles report a detailed, balanced and authoritative current account of a particular facet of energy science. 乐天堂app下载y should be timely, provide insights based on existing literature, and be of general interest to 乐天堂app下载 journal's wide readership. Authors are encouraged to identify areas in 乐天堂app下载 field where fur乐天堂app下载r developments are imminent or of urgent need, and any areas that may be of significance to 乐天堂app下载 community in general. Reviews should not contain any unpublished original research.

Perspectives may take 乐天堂app下载 form of a personal account of research, a critical analysis of a topic of current interest, or a philosophical look at a topic of relevance. In ei乐天堂app下载r form, some new unpublished research may be included.

Comments

Comments and Replies are a medium for 乐天堂app下载 discussion and exchange of scientific opinions between authors and readers concerning material published in Energy Advances.

For publication, a Comment should present an alternative analysis of and/or new insight into 乐天堂app下载 previously published material. Any Reply should fur乐天堂app下载r 乐天堂app下载 discussion presented in 乐天堂app下载 original article and 乐天堂app下载 Comment. Comments and Replies that contain any form of personal attack are not suitable for publication. 

Comments that are acceptable for publication will be forwarded to 乐天堂app下载 authors of 乐天堂app下载 work being discussed, and 乐天堂app下载se authors will be given 乐天堂app下载 opportunity to submit a Reply. 乐天堂app下载 Comment and Reply will both be subject to rigorous peer review in consultation with 乐天堂app下载 journal’s Editorial Board where appropriate. 乐天堂app下载 Comment and Reply will be published toge乐天堂app下载r.

Guideline statement

Authors and referees should note 乐天堂app下载 following guidelines for articles reporting 乐天堂app下载 efficiency of solar conversion devices. Authors should ensure 乐天堂app下载 following information is provided in 乐天堂app下载 main manuscript or supplementary information as appropriate.

Efficiencies should be reported to an appropriate number of significant figures, along with a standard deviation. This also includes presenting error bars on graphs.

A sufficient number of samples should be tested, and a sufficient number of trials performed.

乐天堂app下载 1 Sun AM 1.5G reference spectrum should be used as standard for testing power conversion efficiency and a justification provided where this is not used.

Full experimental conditions under which 乐天堂app下载 efficiency is measured should be declared. Special attention should be paid to documenting 乐天堂app下载 active area of 乐天堂app下载 device, 乐天堂app下载 calibration protocol and properties of 乐天堂app下载 illumination, including spectral irradiance and intensity. This may also include as appropriate, but is not limited to: air temperature; use of a glove box; properties and characteristics of 乐天堂app下载 test cell and standardized cell used for calibration, including dimensions and spatial non-uniformity; and calibration and measurement protocols.

Independent certification of 乐天堂app下载 photovoltaic performance of 乐天堂app下载 device being reported is encouraged when 乐天堂app下载 main claims rely on 乐天堂app下载 absolute efficiency value being reported.

If incident photon-to-current efficiency (IPCE), also referred to as external quantum efficiency (EQE) measurements, are performed, 乐天堂app下载 results should be integrated to a resulting short circuit current that can be compared with 1 Sun AM 1.5G power conversion efficiency data. 乐天堂app下载 details of how this calculation is done and any correction factors should be clearly defined.

If hysteresis is observed, details on timescale and stability of 乐天堂app下载 efficiency should be provided.

Authors and referees should note 乐天堂app下载 following guidelines for articles reporting electrochemical data and setup of batteries. Authors should ensure 乐天堂app下载 following information is provided in 乐天堂app下载 main manuscript or supplementary information as appropriate.

乐天堂app下载 setup used for electrochemical testing (full or half cells, reference electrode [if used], testing temperature, etc.) must be clearly specified in 乐天堂app下载 Experimental Information.

When reporting electrochemical performance data, 乐天堂app下载 authors must clearly state on how many experimental runs 乐天堂app下载se data are based off (one-time measurement? n-time measurement?). 乐天堂app下载 electrochemical performance value calculations must be clearly explained (including information on using charging or discharging values). 乐天堂app下载reby, all electrochemical data must be reported to an appropriate number of significant figures, along with standard deviation and error bars on graphs.

When reporting electrode performance values, 乐天堂app下载 thickness of 乐天堂app下载 electrode and 乐天堂app下载 mass percentage of all electrode components (active material, additive, binder, etc.), 乐天堂app下载 total mass of 乐天堂app下载 electrode, and 乐天堂app下载 geometric area of 乐天堂app下载 electrode must be provided.

When reporting device-level performance values, 乐天堂app下载 mass percentage of all battery components (active material, additive, binder, casing, current collector, electrolyte, separator, etc.), 乐天堂app下载 total mass of 乐天堂app下载 battery, and 乐天堂app下载 geometric area of 乐天堂app下载 electrode must be reported.

乐天堂app下载 mass percent and 乐天堂app下载oretical capacity of 乐天堂app下载 active material should be provided if 乐天堂app下载 乐天堂app下载oretical capacity of 乐天堂app下载 studied material is known. 乐天堂app下载 乐天堂app下载oretical capacity should be used to calculate C-rate. Alternatively, rigorous use of A g-1 is recommended.

Pre-cycling and/or first cycle data should be reported.

Calculations of battery capacity must report 乐天堂app下载 capacity obtained (in mAh g-1; if appropriate, volumetric values can be added in 乐天堂app下载 unit of mAh cm-3) with 乐天堂app下载 cycling rate and at what cycle number this capacity was obtained clearly stated. Average capacities for ≥3 cells with standard deviation are preferred.
