Professor Zongwei Cai graduated from Xiamen University, China, in 1982 with a BSc degree, and from 乐天堂app下载 University of Marburg, Germany, in 1990 with a PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry. He worked at 乐天堂app下载 University of Nebraska, USA, as a post-doc from 1991-93 and as a Research Assistant Professor from 1994-96. Currently he is Chair Professor of Chemistry and Kwok Yat-Wai Endowed Chair of Environmental & Biological Analysis, Director of Dioxin Analysis Laboratory, and Director of State Key Laboratory of Environmental and Biological Analysis at Hong Kong Baptist University. His research interests include environmental chemistry and toxicology through using mass spectrometry-based omics and imaging techniques.

Kevin Jones is a Distinguished Professor at Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC), Lancaster University, UK. He was awarded his PhD from London University in 1984. He has been based at Lancaster for over 30 years, where his specialist research area concerns 乐天堂app下载 sources, fates, behaviours and effects of organic contaminants in 乐天堂app下载 environment. This includes extensive international collaborations and links with businesses and industries. He was appointed Director of LEC, helping to establish it as one of 乐天堂app下载 largest multi-disciplinary environment centres in Europe. He received 乐天堂app下载 American Chemical Society award for Creative Advances in Environmental Science and Technology (2020) and international cooperation with Guangdong Province, China in 2021. Pernilla Bohlin-Nizzetto is a Research Director at NILU, Kjeller, Norway. She has a PhD in Occupational and Environmental Medicine from 乐天堂app下载 University of Go乐天堂app下载nburg, Sweden (2010) and a post-doc in environmental chemistry from Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. Her scientific interests are 乐天堂app下载 discovery of an understanding of sources, fate, and distribution of new and regulated organic contaminants in outdoor and indoor environments on a local and global scale. She is 乐天堂app下载 project leader of 乐天堂app下载 Norwegian Monitoring Programme of long-range transported atmospheric contaminants (POPs and heavy metals), conducted on behalf of 乐天堂app下载 Norwegian Environment Agency; coordinates monitoring of environmental organic contaminants at 乐天堂app下载 Norwegian research station Trollhaugen in Antarctica, and is responsible for POPs in air and precipitation at EMEP/CCC. He received a BS degree in chemistry (2002) and an MS degree in analytical chemistry (2005) from Xiamen University and a PhD in atmospheric chemistry from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (2009). He worked at 乐天堂app下载 Goe乐天堂app下载 University of Frankfurt, 乐天堂app下载 National University of Ireland Galway, and 乐天堂app下载 Paul Scherrer Institute before moving back to China. His research has been recognized through multiple awards including 乐天堂app下载 Asian Young Aerosol Scientist Award (2017), Schmauss Award (2018), Young Scientist Award of 乐天堂app下载 Chinese Academy of Sciences (2018), National Distinguished Young Scholars from 乐天堂app下载 National Natural Science Foundation of China (2019), and 乐天堂app下载 Special Award of China Youth Science and Technology Award (2020). His research interests include atmospheric aerosol chemistry and its link to climate change and human health in both urban and marine environments. His current research focuses on 乐天堂app下载 sources, formation mechanisms, and climate impacts of atmospheric aerosols by combing field observations and laboratory studies based on high-resolution mass spectrometric, optical, and hygroscopic analysis. He has authored/co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications.

Ngai Yin Yip is 乐天堂app下载 Lavon Duddleson Krumb Assistant Professor of Earth and Environmental Engineering at Columbia University. He received his doctoral degree in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from Yale University. His current research is focused on advancing physicochemical technologies and innovations for critical separation challenges in water, energy, and 乐天堂app下载 environment, including high-salinity desalination, zero-liquid discharge, resource recovery from wastewaters, next-generation selective membranes, switchable solvents for water treatment, and low-grade heat utilization. Dr. Yip’s research contributions have earned him numerous recognitions, including 乐天堂app下载 James J. Morgan Early Career Award (Honorable Mention) from Environmental Science & Technology. Nowadays, she is vice-director of 乐天堂app下载 IDAEA-CSIC and leads an interdisciplinary research group in 乐天堂app下载 field of analytical and environmental sciences. Dr Lacorte is a fellow of 乐天堂app下载 Catalan Society of Chemistry (SCQ) of 乐天堂app下载 Institute of Catalan Studies and of 乐天堂app下载 Spanish Society of Chromatography and Related Techniques (SECYTA). She is a member of 乐天堂app下载 Division of Environment of 乐天堂app下载 EUCHEMS and 乐天堂app下载 Scientific Council of 乐天堂app下载 Rovaltain Foundation (France). Her main research interest is to evaluate 乐天堂app下载 presence and impact of organic contaminants (including microplastics) in 乐天堂app下载 environment and find solutions to mitigate 乐天堂app下载 overwhelming problem of chemical pollution.
