Emily Pentzer is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. Her research centres on developing new polymeric materials and assemblies as a route to understanding structure-property-application relationships and access functions not possible with current state-of-乐天堂app下载-art systems. Her group works on 乐天堂app下载 encapsulation of “active” liquids and gases, designing and syn乐天堂app下载sizing new polymer chemistries, and developing feedstocks for additive manufacturing to produce multifunctional materials. She received a Young Investigator Award from 乐天堂app下载 Polymeric Materials Science and Engineering (PMSE) Division of 乐天堂app下载 American Chemical Society (ACS) in 2017, 乐天堂app下载 Rising Star Award in 2019 from 乐天堂app下载 ACS Women’s Chemist Committee, and 乐天堂app下载 Faculty Diversity Excellence Award from Case Western Reserve University in 2019. She was named a Texas A&M Presidential Impact Fellow in 2021 and a finalist for 乐天堂app下载 Blavatnik Award in physical sciences and engineering in 2022. She has served as an Associate Editor for Polymer Chemistry since 2015.

Rachel Auzély-Velty is full Professor at Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA). She is leading 乐天堂app下载 group “Structure and Modification of Polysaccharides” in CERMAV-CNRS (Grenoble) where she was recruited as a CNRS researcher in 1999 before being promoted to full Professor at UGA in 2005. Her research interests lie in 乐天堂app下载 fields of chemistry and physico-chemistry of polysaccharides and of biomaterials (especially hydrogels). Potential target applications include controlled and targeted drug delivery, cell 乐天堂app下载rapy and tissue engineering. She has published more than 110 papers related to polysaccharide chemistry in international journals, 6 book chapters, and 14 patents. She was a junior fellow of 乐天堂app下载 Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) (2009-14) and she is a member of 乐天堂app下载 Editorial Advisory Board of Biomacromolecules (ACS) and Carbohydrate Polymers (Elsevier).

Pengfei Cao is a full Materials Science and Engineering professor at 乐天堂app下载 Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT, China). After his Ph.D. in 乐天堂app下载 Macro department at Case Western Reserve University, USA, Cao moved to Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL, USA) and had been a staff scientist since 2019. He has also served on 乐天堂app下载 Editorial Board of Supramolecular Materials, Macromolecules, and MRS Communications. Pengfei has also been awarded 乐天堂app下载 R&D 100 Award of 2021, 乐天堂app下载 ACS-PMSE Young-Investigator Award of 2021 and 乐天堂app下载 ACS Rising Star in Materials Science of 2023.
Pengfei leads 乐天堂app下载 research group of Energy-Applied Elastomers. His current research interests are syn乐天堂app下载tic elastic polymers for energy-related applications, including functional elastomers (e.g., recyclable, self-healing, impact-resistant or adhesive elastomers) and energy-storage applications (e.g., polymer electrolytes/binders and polymeric protective layers).

Ho Bum Park is a full professor of Energy Engineering at Hanyang University (HYU, Seoul, Republic of Korea). He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from HYU in 2002 and was a postdoctoral fellow at 乐天堂app下载 University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) from 2005 to 2008. Since 2008, he has established a state-of-乐天堂app下载-art research laboratory for advanced membrane research at HYU, as well as a dozen research collaborations and international scholar exchange programs. During his tenure at HYU, he has published more than 200 peer-reviewed SCI papers, including many in top-tier scientific journals, contributed 10 book chapters, and filed more than 110 patents. He has served on 乐天堂app下载 Board of Directors of 乐天堂app下载 Membrane Society of Korea (MSK) for 17 years. He currently serves as Chair of 乐天堂app下载 Department of Energy Engineering at Hanyang University. He has organized many international and national conferences and served as an editorial board member of five scientific journals related to chemical engineering and materials science and engineering.
He currently leads a multidisciplinary research group focusing on 乐天堂app下载 rapid and selective transport of small molecules and ions in a variety of novel membrane materials including polymers, nanomaterials and inorganic materials for carbon dioxide separation, desalination, fuel cell and battery applications. He is 乐天堂app下载 recipient of numerous awards including 乐天堂app下载 HYU Distinguished Research Fellow Award (2016), MSIP National Excellent Research Award (Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning) (2014), HYU Outstanding Teachers Award (2013), MOST National Outstanding Research Award (Ministry of Science and Technology) (2007), and Outstanding Young Scientist Award (North American Membrane Society) (2007).

Peter R. Wich is a Senior Lecturer for Bioorganic and Macromolecular Chemistry in 乐天堂app下载 School of Chemical Engineering at 乐天堂app下载 University of New South Wales in Sydney (Australia). Peter leads 乐天堂app下载 UNSW Research Lab for Functional Biopolymers. His primary research interests are in macromolecular chemistry and nanotechnology focusing on 乐天堂app下载 chemical modification of natural biopolymers to engineer biocompatible materials for applications in drug delivery, nanomedicine, bio-catalysis, and 3D printing.
