Stephanie L Kwolek Award

乐天堂app下载 Stephanie L Kwolek Award, previously advertised as 乐天堂app下载 Materials Chemistry Forum International Award, was established in 2008. Between 2008 and 2020, 乐天堂app下载 award recognised exceptional contributions to 乐天堂app下载 area of materials chemistry from a scientist working outside 乐天堂app下载 UK and Ireland.

乐天堂app下载 award is named after Stephanie Louise Kwolek, 乐天堂app下载 inventor of Kevlar, who died in in 2014.

In 2020, as part of a series of changes following an independent review of 乐天堂app下载 Royal Society of Chemistry's recognition programmes, this award evolved to one of our new Horizon Prizes, which highlight 乐天堂app下载 most exciting, contemporary chemical science at 乐天堂app下载 cutting edge of research and innovation. 乐天堂app下载 Materials Chemistry Division Horizon Prizes are for teams or collaborations who are opening up new directions and possibilities in 乐天堂app下载 field of materials chemistry.
